Prater Park and the Railway Station loading ramp—Morawa, October 1982
Taken around October 1982, the picture below was taken looking southwards. It features the Morawa railway station loading/unloading platform. The railway station is off to the left of this shot.
To the right is the Rose Café. To the left—for those that remember it and can make it out—is the old bowling green. At the time of this picture being taken I think that the old Bowling Green had been converted into a kids playground because the new Bowling Greens had been built to the north of the town.
The following picture is of Prater Park on ‘right’ side (the east side) of Morawa. More about the ‘wrong’ and ‘right’ sides of Morawa can be found here.
I would have been standing on the road almost directly in front of P. H. Lodge & Sons when I took this shot.
To the left is the back of the Morawa Railway Station and you can just make out the ‘half tank’ wheat bin in the middle of the picture through the trees.
The Morawa Hotel is out of frame on the right hand side.
