Bad Drivers to be Given Licenses
I generally don’t post basic news items but I just had to re-post this.
This is from Perthnow.com.au this morning.

A number of driver licensing assessors have basically been ordered to pass more of the people they assess for a driving license in order that they get their pass rates up around 50 percent—regardless of whether the assessors feel the drivers they are assessing can drive well enough to hold a license or not.
This has come from two assessors who decided to make the e-mails they were sent public. If this is a ‘programme’ being implemented by the Department of Transport and Licensing in Western Australia then you can be sure that this e-mail has gone out to more than these two assessors. These are just two that decided to make the programme known to the press.
