Some Pictures from Morawa’s 75th Anniversary
These pictures, with a couple of others, popped up on my Facebook scroll today when I finally decided to get out of bed around 12:42 p.m.
As I had nothing better to do, as I sipped my way through my first cup of coffee for the day I decided to ‘enhance’ some of the pictures that had been posted. Pictures depicting my home town’s 75th year celebrations back in, I think, 1985. So, armed with Photoshop and Photoshop’s new neural filters (which are still only in Beta testing mode) I did some very ‘quick and nasty’ fixing-up of the pictures that had been posted by the Morawa Visitors Centre.
I do recall these celebrations as I was there. My wife and I, Jenni (nee McQuillan), had gone up to Morawa to be there.
Note that these are not pictures taken by me and I do not own the copyright. I do hope that the copyright holder(s) do not mind me doing these ‘enhancements’.
I do have some pictures that I took, as that is what I do mostly—take pictures. Pretty much the only reason I go anywhere is to take pictures.
Just to provide an idea of the fixing-up achieved, at right is the first picture from the gallery below before I did my very quick five minute ‘fix up’ of it.
Sadly I missed the 100th. There must have been something going on for me not to have made the trip back to Morawa for that, but I can’t recall what it was.
Click on any one of the pictures below to see it large. Each enhanced picture is, when printed, 21cm wide with 150 dpi resolution. That is basically A5 in size.
If the copyright holder(s) have a problem with me posting these pictures then please post a relevant comment below and I will remove the images.
