Tag = MO-outings

After the moderate success of my “Tag = Morawa” postings (see here) I have decided to birth the new tag “MO-outings”.

Like the Morawa tag, I have added an item to the main menu to bring up all posting tagged as “MO-outings”.

Postings to be tagged with this tag will feature pictures and notes about many of the various outings and adventures the I have embarked on more-or-less around the surrounds of Morawa.

Many of these adventures were out around the station country to the east and north east of Morawa.

Depending what I find in my old library of pictures it is likely there will be pictures included from Yalgoo in the north, to the Mingenew coal seam in the west, Rothsay in the west, and Camel Soak well to the south east.

Most of this country includes, what were then, sheep stations. These sheep stations were large leases of land used to farm sheep for wool. Such stations included: Barnong, Mellenbye; Kadji (Kadji Kadji); Lochada; and Karara.

Note

As is the case with my Tag = Morawa postings, most, if not all, of the pictures posted in this series are scans of slides. In some cases the scans have been manually ‘cleaned’ of dust and specks, and in some cases (most cases) they have not.
