Slate Magazine

As long as I am posting about sites that I often check out then Slate Magazine is another one. I will confess that while I cast a fast check over the main Slate page, I usually then click on the Technology section and go to that.

Slate seems to find some interesting tech related stories that don’t get picked up on other technology sites.

Like how Facebook makes US$132.40 of our data every year.

So, working on Facebook’s latest claim of 2.5 billion ‘active users’ then that means Facebook made a cool US$331 billion just by selling interested parties our data over the last 12 months.

But the Business section is reasonably good as well, although, as you would expect, it is somewhat US focused.

One downside of Slate is that they do have ‘click bait’ so, if you are like me and hate ‘click bait’, then you need to be a little careful or you will find yourself clicking into one of those endless slide shows of useless crap.
