-1 day until Episode 1 of Season 3 of Game of Thrones

Yep. Tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. in the United States of America (I am not sure if that is the west coast or east cost timing), assuming everything goes according to plan, HBO will begin transmitting Episode 1 of Season 3 of Game of Thrones.

On the downside—there are only eight episodes per season.

Eight weeks of Season 3 and then we have to wait another year for Season 4. Although, at this stage, HBO have not confirmed funding for Season 4 and they have indicated that the fate of a fourth season hinges on whether the viewing audience watch season 3 in sufficient numbers.
