A Quick Update on the Updating of the Categorisation of Posts

Before anyone posts a comment about it, I purposely made that title a little wordy and over-length. Not that I get that many comments (hint, hint).

Anyway, a few posts ago I informed you that I had implemented the SquareSpace categorisations widget. If you have not noticed it then have a quick look now. There it is over in the sidebar on the right.

I also mentioned that one of the ‘problems’ with implementing this widget is that I now have to go back over every post I have done and put them into categories. This means revisiting some 660 posts and working out what category, or categories (because many of them really need to be in more than one category), to put each one on them into.

Well at this stage I have categorised all of 2009 (which was pretty easy as there were only 26 posts that year), all of 2010, all of 2012, and January and February from 2011. So I am probably about two thirds of the way through at this stage.

I expect to get the remainder of the posts done next week while away at site; as something to do each night sitting alone in my motel unit watching ABC24 (the 24 hour news channel).
