Apple to Announce ‘Something’ on October 4th

The computer sites are all reporting that the next big announcement from Apple is going to happen on October 4th (i.e., 4th of October for my Australian readers).

Nobody seems to know really what it is that Apple are going to announce exactly, but the betting is that it will be the ‘new’ iPhone. They might be going to announce two new phones, a cheaper iPhone 4 tipped to be called the 4s, and a new flagship phone which would be the iPhone 5. Or maybe they are announcing an update to the iPad and the new iPhone is not happening until just before Xmas?

Whatever it is we will know by next Wednesday here in Australia—where we are a sleep behind the USA.
