Rapture Failed to Launch
Well it is now well after 8:00 a.m. on the 22nd of May here in Kalamunda Village (east of Perth in Western Australia) and I have been out for a drive around (seriously) and I can see no evidence of the Rapture having been executed. There are people going to church up at the Catholic Church and the crowds down at the Church of Christ all seem relatively normal if maybe just a little down-in-the-mouth as they struggle to hide a degree of disappointment.
I have to point out that me going out for a drive at 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning is somewhat of a minor miracle in itself. I don’t normally get out of bed until about 11:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning (sometimes later).
I think I have spotted the obvious mistake in the calculations. Reverend Camping forgot to multiply the final answer by the Golden Number. It is my experience that, generally speaking, all Godly things either need to be divided or multiplied by the Golden Number, and as dividing would produce a date in the past then obviously his date needed to be multiplied. I am no calendar dating expert but I think that would put the Rapture out around about the year 3253 somewhere. This being the case then we have a little bit longer to wait.
Liking some of the comments on Digg (here).
