John Lennon Second Most Searched for Performer in 2010

Who would have thought?

According to this article in the Herald Sun, in 2010 the second most searched for performer in 2010 was John Lennon. Number One was Justin Bieber. Third was Lady GaGa.

I should point out that I haven’t bothered searching for the source data and confirming this information, which is something I would usually do before posting statistics like this. But why would the Herald Sun make up something like this? So it is most likely legit.

Justin Bieber would have made the top spot due to all the girls searching and re-searching for him. But I really can’t think of a logical reason why John Lennon should make it to second. Especially 30 or so years after his death.
