New Readers Actually Do Check Older Posts

Just to prove I do go back over old postings and do check for comments. Not that I seem to get very many comments for some reason—but I won’t crap on about that (not right now anyway, but it could come up again in a future post).

In reviewing the comments today I found the following.

Comment

Why is this interesting …..?

Well mainly because it is a comment that was posted recently, only yesterday, yet it is on a posting I did on August the 1st (2010). This means that new readers of my site are going back over earlier material and don’t just read the ‘front page’ postings—well at least one reader did anyway. This is the only instance I have found recently (in the last four or five months) where someone who has turned up recently as new commenter has been found to have posted comments (or, in this case, a comment) on older posts (not on the first page).

BabetoGoddessThe post where this comment was left is the item titled “Amazing Transformation: Designed Desktop Wallpaper”. The second last pose the commenter is refers to can be seen in the image at left.

Click on the image to go to the actual posting. Use Ctrl+Click to open it in a new Tab. A slightly larger version of this image can be found at the link.

It is kind of exciting to get confirmation that some people do (one person at least did) go back over my previous material. There is some good stuff back there, even if I do say so myself.

At this point I would just remind reader’s thinking about commenting (please do, I love comments) that no registration is required to comment on my site. I have not found a need to turn that particular feature on at this point. You will however have to pass the standard Web site human-life-form validation test by correctly decoding and entering a munted string of letters. This is there to stop bots from posting hundreds of SPAM comments.
