Titbit: Samsung Galaxy S III

There are a number of postings turning up on the Interweb suggesting that Samsung will be releasing a Galaxy S III smartphone in late February/early March next year—which is, after all, only about three or so months away.

But that is not really the titbit. The titbit is that the S III is tipped to use the new Quad Core Exynos 4412 CPU. Seriously! The S III smartphone is probably going to have a 1.5Ghz four core CPU in it!

Holy snapping duck-shit … what do you do with a phone with that kind of processing horsepower in it?

There is also talk of a ‘large’ sensor camera, but I am not sure what that means. Presumably it means the camera sensor is physically larger than the typical phone sensor size and all semi-pro photographers will tell you that a larger physical sensor is more important than more megapixels when it come to image quality.

So it is going to be interesting to see what, if anything, this really means when the S III is formally released.
