Titbit: PSE 9 Released
Adobe have just released version 9 of PhotoShop Elements.
PhotoShop Elements, which is generally referred to as PSE, is my current favourite photo editor, and has been for about two years now.
PSE has all the main things a semi-serious photographer needs in a photo editor. Stuff like:
- ‘Developing’ RAW to JPG.
- High Dynamic Range (HDR) merging.
- Panorama stitching.
- Layers.
- Cloning.
- Great mask selection tools.
- And all of the basic stuff you would expect in a leading photo editing package.
I especially like PSE’s cataloguing system. Up until PSE I had never found a photo cataloguing system I liked. But PSE does it right (for me, anyway).
The other advantage of using PSE is that there are heaps of tutorials and help on the Web about using it and things you can do with it. Also many of the hints and tips relating to its big brother PhotoShop CS also work in PSE.
