Sexual Arousal: Males Are Massively Visual
Males can and do decide to have sex with a female based entirely on visual input. Just seeing an attractive revealingly dressed female causes the blood flow to a male’s penis to increase. This is not the case for a female. In the absence of any other arousal inputs, simply seeing a revealingly dressed male does not cause any sexual readiness changes in a female’s chemistry.
As with any general rule there are always one or two sets of exceptions at each end of the distribution. However I am confident that the percentage of men in the 18 to 50 age group that would fall into these exception groups at each end would be less than five percent.
Some men work very hard to cloak this (hide it), not wanting it to be too obvious, or even noticeable, that they are impacted by the visual delights offered by nearby females. These cloaking skills start to be developed at a very early age, and are then refined and honed through every day of life.
A small number of males could care less that it is obvious to any nearby female that she is being visually absorbed and appreciated, and that he is becoming aroused. But in our increasingly ‘politically correct’ world these males are becoming fewer and fewer.
On a scale of 1 to 10 on what we might call the “sexually turned-on visually” (STV) scale most men are up there bumping against the 10.
Visual Sexual-Arousal Part of Brain Twice the Size: Men don’t have a lot of control over being so sexually aroused visually. The part of a male’s brain that triggers visual sexual arousal is physically about two and half to three times the size that of a female’s brain. For this reason it is also completely technically impossible for a female to even imagine how much a male is sexually turned on by visuals such as her boobs, legs, and butt.
- As pointed out above, in a female that part of the brain that reacts to visual sexual stimulus is about a half to one third the size of that in a male.
- Unlike males, females can very rarely achieve “ready for sex” status based on visuals alone. Females tend to need reasonable doses of commitment, security, relationship, emotion, and appreciation before they warm up to sex. Also, unlike a male, they typically have to 'like’ the male before allowing him to have sex with her. While they might admire a ‘hunky’ male … rarely would just seeing him make her body chemistry change and flood her body with the need for “sex now”.
Using the 1 to 10 STV scale the average female would be struggling to manage a background reading of two. So while she might appreciate the body of a well built male, the degree to which it would sexually excite her—compared to the average male in a similar but reversed situation—is relatively very low.If her ideal man popped out in front of her naked while she was in the kitchen cooking, on her best day she would still be struggling to push up to a 4 on the “sexually turned-on visually” scale. In fact, depending on the circumstances, she could even go negative (i.e., seeing him naked is actually turning her off).
I can assure you, for any 18 to 50 male that is not sick or dying, if his ideal girl popped out in front of him naked and available while he was in the kitchen cooking, his STV would blast past 10 in seconds and she would be in for some serious sexual ‘trouble’.
So, the bottom line here is that, while they would, will, and do often argue otherwise, the fact is that females do not, and can technically never, understand the degree to which men are excited by sexual visuals alone. - The third reason is that, as noted in the lead-up narrative, most men cloak the degree to which a female’s sexual visuals are sexually arousing them.
Because of this dampened-down feedback that they get, females register a false low STV reading when assessing the sexual reaction of males to something they might have done in order to try and get a sexual reaction.
When I was much much younger—about a thousand years ago (it seems)—I had a girlfriend who on one occasion, without any prior warning, came and sat beside me to watch TV wearing a stunning and revealing bikini-style halter top.
She did it for effect. From memory she was 16 or 17 and I was, from memory, 19 or 20. Well I can tell you it sure had an effect. I would have registered an easy 8 or 9 on the STV meter. She looked amazing. Absolutely frigging amazing. Awesome beyond words. Like nothing I had ever seen before in my life. If only there had been mobile phones with cameras in them then. It’s a bit sad that I have never been fortunate enough to be anywhere near a girl wearing such an awesome top since that day.
Anyway I faked it. My automatic STV cloaking mechanisms kicked in instantly. Despite the stirring in my loins I was Mr Cool. From where she sat she would probably not have picked up much more than the slightest of flickers in my STV reading. She probably got the impression that her amazing top and getting to see her boobies like that was a total failure—when in fact that was far from the truth.
In the end this all works out rather well because, by and large, females are exhibitionists. So it is just as well that us males, well about 95 percent of us anyway, are practised and dedicated voyeurs when it comes to the female form. It is almost as though ‘someone’ or something designed it to work out like this. Hmmmmm.
