The New York Times newspaper
Unlike a lot of online major newspapers that have put up paywalls, “The New York Times” newspaper is still free (here). Although, you do get prompted now and then to create an account. But it all still works if you don’t create an account—which I never do. And, if you do decide to create an account, then at this time you do not have to fork out any money in order to read articles.
I am sure this will change as more and more newspapers try to get revenue from their online offerings and the sales of the actual newspapers continues to decline.
I have tested the New York Times (NYT) site with the Brave browser and it works fine. Adverts are stripped and no auto-start. Perfect. Pages from the NYT site open much faster in Brave. Most likely all attributed to the fact the adverts are not being downloaded and rendered.
I will add the NYT to my links page.
