Selling my Pentax K-5

As I now have the Pentax K-3 and the Sony a6000 I have decided to sell my Pentax K-5, especially as I have not used it for at least six months.

One of the hard things about selling a camera is deciding which lenses to sell with it. In the end I decided to bundle the ever faithful SIGMA 17-70 because now I almost never take the amazing Pentax 18-135 off the K-3. As good as SIGMA DC 17-70 is I think that the Pentax 18-135 is just as good and it gives me that little bit of extra range, and is less bulky. While the SIGMA has noticeably less image distortion than the Pentax 18-135 I am totally happy with the distortion correction that is applied by DXO Optics.

Along with the SIGMA there is the Hoya Pro circular polariser. This is a 72mm polariser which obviously does not fit any other lens I own. I would add that this Hoya Pro polariser (made in Japan) was almost $200 to buy and is in this bundle basically for free--although I have lost the container for it.

I also decided to bundle the weatherproof 50-200 Pentax lens as I have not used it for a long time and the buyer of this camera might find it useful when they want that extra bit of reach. This is effectively a 300mm lens at full zoom on a half-frame camera (such as the K-5).

I am asking $1,000 for the whole bundle, which I think is fair price. The K-5 body alone is selling for between about $600 and $900 depending on condition and number of shutter releases.

You can find my advert on Gumtree.

Following is a high resolution picture of the bundle.

I also have the lens hoods for the lenses.

I am located in the Kalamunda area and prefer to sell to someone in the Perth area. I am not that keen on packaging the kit up for sending via the mail or couriers.
